Parent Link & Absences
If a child is going to be absent, a parent should call and leave a message giving the child’s name, the teacher and the reason for absence. This call should occur prior to 8:00 AM. Families of students recorded as absent who have not called the office will receive an automated parent call (by 10:00 AM) indicating that the child is not in attendance. If you know your child will be out of school for an extended period of time, please call the office for information as to how to proceed. Vacations during regular school days are considered unexcused and you will receive an automated phone call each day.
If students with extreme nut allergies are in your child’s class, the classroom will be nut-free for child safety.
Closings & Delays
Emergency school closings, or two hour delayed openings due to inclement weather, will be determined by 5:30 AM. Parents can find information on closings and delays on the District Website (www.nashua.edu) or at WMUR News (www.wmurtv.com). Parents can also receive a phone call in the morning from Alert Now informing them of school delay or closing.
Students receive their bus tickets in the mail from the District’s transportation department in August. Students are only allowed to ride on the route bus indicated on the ticket. Bus tickets are not issued to kindergarten.
