WELCOME TO THE HEALTH OFFICE
The goal of the Health office is to assist with the educational process by focusing on prevention of illness and early detection of health problems. We do our best to keep kids in school when they are healthy enough to be here. Here are some of the services that the health office offer:
Assessment and follow-up of acute and/or chronic health problems, including mental illness and pregnancies
(please make the office aware of these conditions).
General medication administration
Immunization tracking
Initial emergency evaluation and determination of referral
needs
Education on treatment and prevention of disease and illness
Concussion Protocol
Attention 7
th
grade families!
If you have not brought in documentation that your student has had their state required TDap vaccination, exclusion notices will be going home this week to inform you of the date your student will be excluded from attending school.
Immunizations are available at the Nashua Health Department at 18 Mulberry St. for a $10. Fee. Clinics are held on Tuesday from 4:00 pm – 7:00pm and Fridays from 8:30am –10:30am. A parent or legal guardian must accompany a child under age 18. You must bring his/her immunization record with you to the appointment.
Immunizations are also available at your local Walgreens, as well. What we find, though, is that most of the time, your student had already had this immunization and we just need a copy of the paperwork from your family pediatrician, so please call their office. They can have the paperwork faxed directly to my office at (603) 594-4413.
